Bangor celebrated the Bi-Centennial year with activities throughout the year.

 

"This is My Country"
Bangor High School Auditorium, January 31, 1967. Directed by
Riley F. Lynch. This was a musical, historical, and 
patriotic type of program.

 

"George Washington Ball"

"Bell Ringers Concert"

Bi-Centennial Parade
Bangor's Monroe Street, 3:00 P.M., July 4, 1976. Parade Chairman,
Riley Lynch, Co-Chairman, Marie Lynch
This was the largest and most colorful historical parade
in Bangor's history. Consisted of 80 units, with
Around 250 people and 100 horses in it.
A crowd, estimated at 15,000 or more people jammed the
parade route.

 

July 4, 1976 At Ball Park
Games and activities followed the parade at the Bangor
Ball Park. William Stanislawski was chairman of
this event. This was followed by a spectacular
fire work display at dusk.

 

"I Love America"
Church of Christ, Summer of 1976. this program was put on by a group of people from Bangor and surrounding towns in
the area. It was a very patriotic and colorful musical
program. It was directed by Mr. Dan Farmer

This historical, patriotic, musical program covered 200
