Dr. Dickie
Dr. Dickie came to Bangor on 1938. His office was above the old bakery downtown until 1947 when he moved his office to his home at 512 Cass Street.
He died in 1970. His death left the Bangor Area without a veterinarian.
Dr. Dickie was well known in this community and his practice covered a very large area. He was a down to earth type gentlemen and was highly respected as a man, as well as a veterinarian, by the farmers and all others whom he served. If a farmer needed a veterinarian at night or on Sundays or holidays, "Doc" was available to help him. he never believed in over-charging for his services; in fact many times he did not charge enough.
