InterCare Community Health Network’s administrative offices have been located in Bangor Michigan since the mid-1970’s.  Now in a new 7000 square foot facility in Bangor’s Industrial Park, InterCare’s corporate headquarters oversee the operations of InterCare’s five medical and dental practices located throughout southwest Michigan.   

 

InterCare is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to primary health care, particularly in areas traditionally considered medically underserved.  InterCare serves community residents and migrant farmworkers in Van Buren County, as well as Allegan, Cass, Berrien, and Ottawa Counties.  InterCare offers a full range of medical, dental, and WIC nutrition services to individuals and families, regardless of their insurance or ability to pay.  Patient care is delivered by a bilingual health care team.  InterCare offers a sliding fee program, based on family size and income, for those whose access to health care is limited for financial reasons.  Individuals with Medicare or Medicaid are also welcome. 

 

InterCare’s local health facility is located at 308 Charles Street in downtown Bangor.  That facility has housed medical, dental, and WIC nutrition services since 1985.  InterCare’s dental services are delivered by Dr. Jill VanDeViere.  InterCare’s medical staff includes Dr. Marciano Santiago, Dr. Tamala Mallett, Dr. Fran Bruder, and Nancy Virgilio, PA-C.  In addition to general and emergency dentistry, InterCare’s Bangor site offers family medical care, adult medicine, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

 

New patients are welcome at all of InterCare’s health care facilities.  The Bangor health center’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 with extended evening hours until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  For an appointment at InterCare’s Bangor health center, call:
